Learn how to take charge of your own health and what you can incorporate into your daily life to improve your metabolism, and prevent it from slowing. 

There is a direct correlation between a high performing metabolic rate, and wellness and leanness. The higher your metabolic rate, the more likely you are to be free of degenerative diseases and be able to maintain a lean body. What is not to like?

Many things, particularly related to modern life, down regulate the metabolism, and this programme will teach you how to be aware of those things, and what to do to avoid them - or at least to mitigate the impact of them.

During this 6 week programme, we will work through a comprehensive questionnaire and establish 3 priority areas to work on alongside a structured programme focusing on teaching you how to understand what your body is telling you and how to look after it better.

By the end of the programme, you should notice improvements to your sleep, stress levels, libido, digestion and general mood. Eventually as you fix your metabolism and eat according to your needs, you should also notice that you will feel leaner, and less focused on fine markers – such as what size your jeans are. Included in the programme is an understanding about what supplements may help you. 

How it Works
This is an intensive programme and consists of:

  1. Completion of an online questionnaire by you; and subsequent analysis by me, and feedback session.

  2. One weekly 30 minute FaceTime meeting to introduce each element of the programme and discuss how it impacts you, and agree on relevant actions for the week ahead.

  3. Unlimited support over email or Whatsapp for the duration of the programme.




Using indirect calorimetry RMR testing measures your metabolic rate and provides accurate estimates of energy expenditure from measures of carbon dioxide production and oxygen consumption at rest.

Indirect calorimetry is performed using a state-of-the-art, handheld device that accurately measures resting metabolic rate (RMR). The test is easy to perform, and delivers an RMR measurement quickly and accurately. It is useful as a tool for monitoring changes in metabolism to help individuals achieve personal weight management and nutrition goals.

Benefits to You
The benefit of knowing your RMR rate is so that you can understand how many calories your body is using currently in order to survive; a multiplier can then be added to this to give you a realistic calorie intake target (many people are often significantly under-eating, which causes further metabolic slowdown).

Many people struggle with weight loss, particularly as they get older, and this is a way of understanding what your body’s current needs are, and therefore what your strategy can be to improve the rate, and / or to lose weight.

How it Works
Testing is done in Derbyshire or Oxfordshire. Other areas are possible depending on travel and logistics costs. The session lasts approximately one hour and relies on the client being fasted and rested (ideally first thing in the morning).

Included in the cost is a follow up report with tips on how to fulfil your objectives, and specifically how to improve your metabolic rate.





This is ideal if you have a specific issue that you want to address or would like some help with, and are otherwise happy enough managing your health on your own.

This session is very much dependent on the nature of the client query. It is designed to be a one-off session and therefore it may be that you have done the 6 week Intro to Metabolic Repair, and have a specific issue you wish to address as a result of something that comes to light later on. Or perhaps you may wish to choose the one hour session first to see what you might need.

Benefits to You
Looking at all elements of health, from emotional to physical, nutrition to behavioural, this session focuses on your health concerns. I will dig deeper to establish root causes and areas to focus on. We will jointly agree on a plan of next steps which will involve action from you. This could include:

  • Research

  • Recommended reading

  • Keeping a diary

  • Certain exercises or activities

  • Guidance on recommended testing (lab work) depending on the areas of concern

How it Works
One session of around an hour (usually 75-90 mins), generally done by Skype, unless you are local to me and want me to come to your home (may be subject to travel costs and logistics permitting).  




This is ideal for people who have been through my 6 week programme, and are looking for extra support by either continuing straight on from that to further progress, or maybe periodically as other things happen in your life.

 This is a great route if you've had at least one face to face session with me and have a plan of action, and want continued support as you put that plan into action.

You will learn as you go. I'll challenge your thinking in order for you to learn and grow. This is your life, your health, and your well-being. I want to enable you to reactivate your own perfectly working guidance system, and tune back into your own intuition that will have likely been masked by years of being told what to do.

Benefits to You
Through a comprehensive questionnaire, we will identify 3 or 4 top focus areas to work on during the month. You will begin to learn about health, key indicators and how to influence them.

This is a self-driven programme for people who are ready to take back responsibility for their health after years of being told what is good or bad for you. Clients who have undertaken this programme before have improved their knowledge and gone onto a healthier and happier life.

Massage therapy to address specific postural concerns and alleviate pain / stiffness in specific areas, or just as a supplementary treatment for overall wellness.

As a functional health consultant, I focus on all elements of wellness for my clients. With this treatment, I will come to your home or place of work and following a postural assessment, I will work to alleviate any symptomatic aches and pains, and help you to address any specific areas of concern.

I offer an on-site massage service that can be tailored to suit your business and individual needs. I recommend an initial 45 minute postural assessment, following up with a monthly treatment focusing on the areas that the assessment highlighted. 

 As well as treating the client’s initial pain complaint, I can also develop a programme of recommend exercises and postural adjustments they can implement themselves, and when appropriate, a strength training programme that will protect them from recurrence of issues, as well as from future injuries.
