How I work
It starts with a conversation about the business and whatever has begun to feel harder than it should. If I’m not the right person for it, I’ll say so.
If I am, the next step is looking at how things get done, and where problems start rather than where they show up. You get a clear account of that, including what is working well and best left alone.
What happens after that depends on what we find, and on what you want. I can stay involved on a retained basis, be on hand as an adviser, or leave you to it. How much time any of that takes is something we agree together and revisit as we go.
There’s no predetermined answer. Depending on the problem and what the business is trying to achieve, it may be a case of sharpening what already exists. It may be a full transformation programme, including a new system. Or it could be a combination of the two.
Whatever changes, it should still be recognisably your business, just one that’s easier to run.
