This notice explains what personal information I collect through this website, why, and what I do with it.

Who I am

This website is run by Sarah Kennard Consulting Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 12370137. Registered office: 71–75 Shelton Street, London, WC2H 9JQ. For anything about your personal information, email sarah@sarah-kennard.com.

What I collect

If you book a call: your name, email address, how you’d like to talk (for example a phone number or video link), and anything you choose to tell me in advance. Bookings are handled by Calendly.

If you email me: your email address and whatever you include in your message.

When you visit the site: Squarespace, which hosts the site, collects basic information about how it’s used, such as pages visited, approximate location and device type. Some of this uses cookies, and you can choose whether to accept non-essential cookies when you first visit.

I don’t use your information for marketing, and I don’t sell it or share it with anyone else.

Why I use it

I use your details to arrange and hold the conversation you’ve asked for, to reply to you, and, if we go on to work together, to manage that work. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. For non-essential cookies, the basis is your consent.

Who handles it for me

A small number of providers process information on my behalf: Squarespace (website hosting and analytics), Calendly (booking calls) and Google Workspace (email). Some of these providers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, they use recognised safeguards to protect it.

How long I keep it

If we don’t go on to work together, I delete booking details and correspondence within 12 months of our last contact. If we do work together, I keep records for as long as needed for that work, and for up to 6 years afterwards where the law requires it, for example for tax purposes.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how it’s used. Email sarah@sarah-kennard.com and I’ll respond within one month. If you’re unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
